Recommended Printer Settings
For best visual results, adjust your printer dialog settings before clicking print:
• Print Scale: Always select "Fit to Printable Area" or "100% Actual Size". Avoid choosing "Stretch to Fit" to ensure correct dimensions.
• Print Quality: Set your printer quality to "High" or "Best" instead of "Draft" for richer colors and sharp text.
• Double-Sided Printing: For flashcards or double-sided activity sheets, select "Print on Both Sides" and choose "Flip on Short Edge" (for landscape orientation) or "Flip on Long Edge" (for portrait orientation).
Choosing the Right Paper
The paper you choose depends on how the activity will be used:
• Standard Copy Paper (20 lb – 24 lb): Best for single-use worksheets, coloring pages, and guided writing sheets.
• Cardstock Paper (65 lb – 110 lb): Highly recommended for flashcards, learning mats, art prints, game cards, and sensory bin accessories. Cardstock prevents bleed-through and provides structural durability.
Assembly & Durability Tips
Turn your paper printables into reusable learning tools with these quick tips:
• Lamination for Reusability: Laminate flashcards, playdough mats, and tracing sheets using 3 mil or 5 mil laminating pouches. Kids can use dry-erase markers on laminated sheets and wipe them clean for endless practice!
• Corner Rounding: Use a corner punch on flashcards to soften sharp paper corners for safe little hands.
• Storage & Organization: Store thematic sets in clear plastic sheet protectors inside a three-ring binder, or use zip-top pouches for small game pieces and task cards.
